The seller
paxID OÜ sells your ticket and takes your payment. An airline ticketing partner issues the ticket under its own accreditation. The airline operates the flight under its conditions of carriage, and each airline’s fare rules apply to the flights it operates.
Paying
When you press Pay, paxID checks the price and availability again. paxID then puts a temporary hold on your card, confirmed by your bank’s security check, and books your ticket.
Your card is charged only once the airline issues your ticket, usually within about 15 minutes and at most about an hour. If the ticket cannot be issued, the hold is released and you are not charged. Your bank decides how fast the hold disappears.
You are never charged more than the price shown when you pressed Pay.
Price
The price is the total for all travellers, including taxes and fees. paxID’s fees are shown as their own lines inside that total, at checkout and on your receipt.
You can pay in your own currency where paxID supports it. Any cost of converting currency is already inside the price shown in that currency. Nothing is added when you pay.
Seats
A seat you choose is asked of the airline with your ticket and is not guaranteed. If the airline cannot confirm it when it issues your ticket, the ticket is issued without that seat, you still fly, and the seat is not charged: your card is charged the held amount less the seat’s price, with paxID’s booking fee as agreed when you paid. paxID tells you which seat it was, and you choose a seat at the airline’s check-in. Seats cannot be added once the ticket is issued.
Where paxID sells flights
At launch, paxID does not sell flights to customers in the United Kingdom, Denmark, or the US states of California, Florida, Hawaii, New York and Washington. Everything else in paxID works there.
One order can include up to 9 travellers with a seat, plus infants on a lap, and up to EUR 10,000.
Travel insurance
When paxID offers travel insurance, a licensed insurance partner sells it. The partner takes the payment and handles claims and refunds. paxID does not collect insurance premiums.
